Meet the Instructors
Vice President of Program Support & Development
Kelly is the Vice President of Program Support and Development at Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled. Kinderman oversees the planning and implementation of the Agency’s quality assurance and quality improvement program, program development, strategic planning, and staff development. She ensures compliance with all government and contractual rules and regulations. Kinderman will also serves as a Corporate Compliance Officer and HIPPA Compliance Officer. She also serves as the DDAWNY Co-Chair for the Corporate Compliance Committee.
Kelly has a wealth of experience at other companies holding management positions in an Article 16 Clinic, Day Habilitation, and Residential programs; she has been working in the Human Services field since 1997. Kelly is also active in the community, serving as a Board Member for two local and national non-profits focused on services for children born with craniofacial anomalies and women touched by cancer while pregnant.
Learning and Organizational Leadership Coordinator
Kristin joined Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled as the Coordinator of Leadership Development in February of 2012, with extensive experience in leadership consulting, change management, curriculum development and effective training and coaching techniques.
Kristin’s passion for leadership led her to pursue her Masters of Science in Executive Leadership and Change from Daemen College. She applied her exceptional planning and strategy development skills which led her to become a Creative Problem Solving (CPS) facilitator.
Kristin served as a Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Restoration Society, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Erie County, Inc.
While at Community Services, Kristin has developed and facilitates a year-long leadership and management training program for prospective and current managers, develops and teaches leadership and management trainings, provides team development and one-on-one coaching and mentoring all geared to develop vital leadership skills and to promote professional development throughout the agency. Additionally, she contributes to various committees focused on systematic agency improvements leading to a low turnover, high performance organization while cultivating a positive individual-focused culture. Kristin is a licensed DISC trainer and provides consulting and coaching for various organizations and individuals.
Learning and Leadership Advisor
Kathie has been working in the field of developmental disabilities for over 16 years. She has extensive knowledge of MSC, Funding, Compliance and Auditing. Kathie is currently employed as Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled (CSDD) as a Compliance Specialist. In her current positions she conducts fiscal and program audits to ensure regulatory compliance. In the past Kathie has also held positions at CSDD as a MSC, MSC Supervisor and a Funding Specialist.
Director of Service Coordination
Sherry is the Director of Service Coordination at CSDD. She holds a BS in Education from Slippery Rock University of PA. She has 16 years of experience in this field. Her experience includes working as a Job Coach, a Medicaid Service Coordinator (MSC) and MSC Supervisor, an Investigator, a Residential Program Coordinator and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Coordinator.
Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Buffalo State College. She has worked with people with developmental disabilities for 14 years and with Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled for 11 years. In that capacity she has experience in direct care, MSC, Quality Management, and Consolidated Support and Services Broker. She is currently the supervisor of the Admissions department at CSDD. Melissa was a certified SCIP-R instructor and certified CPR/First Aide Instructor as well.
Program Coordinator Social/Senior MSC Department
Deborah has been employed by Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled since 2004. Deborah received her Bachelors of Arts and Master in Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Deborah has experience working in a variety of mental health and Developmentally Disabled settings including working with geriatrics, sex offenders, children and adolescents, in-patient and out-patient mental health, residential settings and as the Team Leader for CSDD’s ACT Team. Deborah currently holds the position of Program Coordinator for the Social/Senior MSC Department at Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled.
Service Coordination Program Manager
Kellie has been employed by Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled since 2004. Kellie has held a variety of positions with Community Services including: Habilitation Instructor, MSC for Parents & Youth, MSC Regulatory Specialist, Compliance Specialist and currently holds the position of Service Coordination Program Manager. Kellie received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Buffalo State College in 2003.
